*Pensions and investments are charged on the same fee structure.
The term 'investment' is used here to reflect both.
New pensions and investments
For us to research a new investment for you we charge a rate of £150 per hour. During the fact find meeting we will tell you how many hours work this research will take (the agreed figure). Before we proceed with the research we ensure you agree with the cost.
After we research the investment, if you proceed with our recommendation to set up the investment, we will waive the hourly rate fee, and charge 4%* of the amount you are investing, or for regular contributions charge 30% for the first 12 months. These fees cover the cost of implementation, and can be taken from the investment, or can be paid separately via invoice.
If you choose not to take up our recommendation we will invoice for work undertaken (as per the agreed figure)
*These fees are on a tiered structure dependent on the size of the investment.
See the Tiered Fee Structure (below) for details.
Existing pensions and investments
For us to review current investments we charge a rate of £150 per hour. During the fact find meeting we will gauge how long this will take and tell you how many hours (the agreed figure). This figure is different for each client depending on how many plans there are to review. Before we proceed with the review we ensure you know and agree with the cost.
If after we review the investment(s) you decide to proceed with a recommendation to move the plans elsewhere, we will waive the hourly rate fee as above, and the cost for transfer and implementation of the recommendation will be 4%* of the value of the investment. If you don't take up the recommendation we will invoice for work undertaken (as per the agreed figure).
If the recommendation is to remain with an investment plan that is currently in place, we will explain why, make sure you understand, then once happy we will invoice for work undertaken (as per the agreed figure).
Ongoing financial reviews
We don't see our service as transactional, as our clients often request ongoing support, therefore we offer an ongoing service on investments.
The charges range from 0.75% to 1% of the value of the investment pot, dependent on the pot size. This can be paid through the investment or invoiced annually.
You may not want this service, or it may not be suitable for you, so we can discuss an ad hoc service if more appropriate. In this case we would agree an ad hoc fee charged at £150 per hour.
*Tiered Fee Structure
When our work involves investing or moving a lump sum of money, our fees are:
· 4% on first £100,000
· 3 % on the next £150,000 and
· 1.5% on any balance
Below we have shown the fees which would apply for a range of amounts invested:
· £75,000 invested, the fee would be £3,000 being 4.00% of the sum invested
· £150,000 invested the fee would be £5,505 being 3.67% of the sum invested
· £375,000 invested the fee would be £10,387.50 being 2.77% of the sum invested
Should you invest through regular contributions, our range of fees taken over 12 months are:
· 30% of the first £250 of monthly contributions
· 15% of the next £500 of monthly contributions
· 10% over £750pm
If you have any questions about our fee structure please do not hesitate to ask your adviser.
